Game Objective: Teams need to cross all of the shvatim pieces over to their side of the table by answering the questions correctly.

Game Preparations:

  • Print and cut out game pieces.

  • On the table: 1. place the question cards in a pile, faced down. 2. Set six of the shvatim cards on one side of the table and six shevatim cards on the other side of the table. If you have a blue table runner, you can put that down to be the "sea" separating the two sides of the table.

  • NOTE: There are a range of questions, some easy and others more challenging. This is to cover all ages. Feel free to skip a question that might be too challenging for the age group playing.

To Play:

  • Divide the table (or group) in half, lengthwise.

  • Choose the team that will begin first.

  • On the team's turn, someone on the team will draw a question card. The team has 10 seconds to answer the question.

  • If the team answers correctly, they get to bring one of the "shvatim" cards over to their side of the table.

  • If the team answers incorrectly, they don't move any pieces, and it is the end of their turn.

  • If the team does not present their answer after the ten seconds have passed, both teams can respond. Whichever team guesses the correct answer first, gets to move a piece from across the table onto their side.

  • Continue taking turns and playing.

To Win:

There are two ways in which the game can end.

  • The first team that manages to move over all of the opponent's cards to their side of the table, by answering the questions correctly.

  • When the pile of cards are finished, both teams count their shvatim cards. The team with the most cards on their side is the winning team!

Enjoy!
